Why did you decide to become an Academic Advisor?

I decided to become an Academic Advisor because I know it’s hard to make decisions about your future and I wanted to be the someone for students to have in their corner. During my time volunteering, I saw what an impact it made to offer a little support.

What extra/co-curricular activities did you participate in as an undergraduate?

As an undergrad, I tried to participate in everything I could. I was on the board of Women in Business Association (WBA) and Global Engagement and Exchange Organization (GEEO). I also volunteered for anything environmentally focused at the university and eventually volunteered at the Peace Corps Recruitment Office which led to me to discover my path after graduation. I believe being involved set me up for success during and after my studies because of the exposure I got to people, ideas, and opportunities.
