Biography

Aitiana is a proud, "home-grown" Aggie Alumna, having received her BBA in Marketing in 2018, MBA in 2020, and MA in Educational Leadership & Administration (Higher Education Administration) in 2023. Aitiana has worked in various areas of the university since 2019, and she is ecstatic for the opportunity to continue guiding Aggies on their academic journeys from their first day on campus to the day they cross the graduation stage. Go Aggies!

Why/how did you decide to become an Academic Advisor?

Working at NMSU is a full circle of opportunity for me since I grew up wearing NMSU gear, cheering on the Aggies, and envisioning myself on campus. When I became an Academic Advisor in 2019, my purpose was and remains to be someone on campus that the 18-year-old version of myself would have appreciated – a loyal and reliable mentor. As an Academic Advisor, I look forward to helping future generations of Aggies and hope to positively influence my students’ journeys as they walk, run, and explore the campus that I am proud to call home.
