Why/how did you decide what you wanted to major in in college?

I had always wanted to be a teacher and then spent some time in a classroom and realized that wasn't for me. I love film and helping people accomplish their goals so Creative Media with a focus on Assistant Directing was the perfect fit.

Why did you decide to become an Academic Advisor?

I found academic advising by accident. When I graduated with my Bachelor's degree there was a three-month academic advisor position open and a mentor of mine suggested I apply. I was offered the job and never left higher education because I enjoy working with students so much.
