My name is Pamela Arredondo and I'm excited to be part of the new Center for Academic Advising & Student Support as an academic advisor. I was originally born in a small town called Nuevo Casas Grandes located in Northern Mexico. I completed high school in la Academia Juarez at la Colonia Juarez. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to attend college at NMSU. I graduated with a bachelor’s in Individualized Studies in December of 2015. I decided to continue my learning experience here at NMSU and complete a graduate degree in bilingual education. I believe multicultural and critical pedagogy can serve as a powerful tool for our students to reach their full potential.
As an international graduate student, I am proud to be part of such warm and caring learning community that NMSU has fostered. You deserve to get the best out of your education and receive the opportunities that will help you create your own version of success. As an academic advisor, I am here to help you succeed and overcome obstacles you may encounter throughout this chapter that entails college life.
